I’ve been contacted by Salisbury Hospice Charity, and they are looking to contact as many people as possible who may be interested in signing up. The ride is on Sunday 28th June and will start and finish at Salisbury Hospice (on the Salisbury District Hospital site). they have a choice of either 35 or 60 mile routes to make the day accessible to all abilities, and these both follow quiet lanes through some exceptionally beautiful countryside, plus free refreshments with tea and cake at the finish. Please go to http://www.salisburyhospicecharity.org.uk/events/events/552 for more information and registration. Salisbury Hospice costs £2.2 million to run, with Salisbury Hospice Charity having to raise £1.5 million of the funding required. We care for people living with complex and progressive illness. Our aim is to sustain their quality of life and provide relief from pain and other distressing symptoms. Because incurable illnesses affect whole families we offer the same loving support, help and counseling to their families, friends and carers. Through the generosity of our many supporters we were able to provide care for almost 1,000 local people last year, and this event is just one of the ways that we use to raise funds and increase awareness of the need to support Salisbury Hospice Charity. I’d be hugely gratefully if you could share this information and the attached poster with your members on your website and social media. As you will see we have a range of entry options, and would be happy to extend the reduced Team Entry fee to your members. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like any further information.
