Craig Wallington won the tornado 10 mile tt today on the P337 course. He spent

Spent the last 2 weeks tweaking his tt bike and trying to get it so can really open up his lungs up and getting it stable at high speeds.

He was hoping for a top 5 going on previous results.

Once he got going his legs gelt good and bike felt 100% better and could really open it up.

And Did it in 23.13 and broke the course record.

Won by 4 seconds so all the testing/tweaking paid off.

Great news tonight we had a winner winner chicken dinner ( other food varieties are available)

I just got a great race report in from Callum Dunford as per below and thought I’d share it with you all

Hi Paul, sorry it’s late but thought I’d let you know is how henstridge went today. Conditions were not ideal, it had been raining hard before the race so the track was very wet and slippery, and the spray was awful.
It was obvious from the start that it was going to be a hard race as i was having to sprint out of every corner to keep up with the group. After about 25 minutes the pace had settled slightly and i got into a good rhythm having a couple of turns on the front.

In the final 10 minutes i found myself in a good position around 4th to 6th saving energy for the final few laps. With 3 laps to go i was in a train of 4 riders and luckily i was at the back of the train, it stayed like this for the remainder of the race until the last corner of the final lap, where the sprint began to the line. I managed to get a good drive off the corner and was in a 2 horse sprint to the line, so i dug deep and managed to sprint to bring home a 1st place for Sarum velo.

Superb result Callum and thank you for your great write up of your race !

We also had a number of riders racing in a local time trial and for one rider Alex watkins it was his first ( well done alex great ride for first ever tt) also riding were James and rhys James was the first of the Sarum velo riders then came alex then Rhys well done to all three of you it’s great to see you all out there enjoying a bit of racing and trying to beat each other I gather there are more riders racing this weekend in another local tt

Below are results

Also if riders can do a little write up after the event and share the love 🙂 where are the ladies come on ladies ….

Thanks again for your support team

Good Friday was a great day for the club as we had riders competing in a few events locally

it all kicked off with the Bournemouth Arrow Good Friday 10,on the course down in sopley won by 1 Gary Chambers in a time of 20:34 Craig wallington decided to ride his road bike furnished with disk wheel and came and in his own words didn’t think he put in a good performance on the day and Came 25th with a time of 22:58 25 and has decided to have a bit of a rest and get back racing later in june (unless he can be convinced other wise ) also riding was 29 Richard Hamilton with a great time of 23:03 29 which to be honest is some good times for that course so well done guys great effort

now the the road Racing We had three riders racing Callum, Jason and Rhys are raced in the castle Combe Easter classic below is report from callum

The race started very fast, we all started at the back and had to sprint to hold on to the group. After 2 laps it had calmed down and i was fighting for position at the front and Rhys and Jason we comfortable in the group. After about 20mins Jason pulled out as he was struggling to catch up with the group after the chicane’s, but he put in a great effort for his first race.
With 2 laps to go i was leading peloton and Rhys was in the pack.
On the last lap i found myself in a good position and in the home straight fighting the strong head wind i managed to hold onto and sprint to finish 3rd, and Rhys finished comfortably in the group putting in a great effort.

from all the photos on Facebook looks like it was a large bunch
